This innovative program uses a revolving incentive fund to pay farmers upfront for the full value of their share while giving SNAP customers the flexibility to pay week-to-week and at a significant discount. This program was launched in 2020 with a grant from USDA-NIFA-GusNIP.

The Food Sovereignty Fund pays farmers to grow local food for community-led food access initiatives. Through awarding seasonal contracts, providing specialized technical assistance and partnering with members of the communities we seek to serve, Glynwood builds the capacity of small-to-mid-scale Hudson Valley farms that use regenerative agricultural practices to grow food for local hunger relief efforts.
