Miya Kumangai is the livestock farm hand at Glynwood. She was a livestock apprentice at Glynwood during the 2022 season after starting her farming career in 2021 at Leaping Bear Farm in Putney, Vermont. Miya has also had roles at Sylvester Manor, Row 7 Seed Company, and at the Union Square Farmers Market. 
 

A native of Washington State, Miya studied English Literature at Rice University and worked in book publishing for several years before switching to farming. She is energized by the amazing community in the Hudson Valley and loves the continual learning process that is livestock farming.
