Jenn Hayden (she/her)
Jenn has been working with Glynwood since 2017 as a program planning, grant writing, and evaluation consultant. In her new role, she showcases Glynwood’s wide array of programs and their impacts as she cultivates and maintains relationships with Glynwood’s foundation, government, and other institutional funders and funding partners.
Jenn brings a deep well of knowledge and experience to the job. While earning a Ph.D. in rural sociology from Penn State, she researched how farmers make soil health management decisions, while also organizing field days for the Pennsylvania Women’s Agricultural Network. At the University of Oxford, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Human Geography, she studied the effects of CSA membership while also volunteering at a very sluggy English market garden. Her bachelor’s degree is in Communications from William Paterson University in New Jersey.
A former resident of Garrison Landing, Jenn now calls mid-coast Maine home and enjoys visiting Glynwood seasonally to see the “beeves” and marvel at the beauty of the Hudson Valley. When she is not typing furiously, she has a micro-scale cut flower market garden that serves her island home’s tiny grocery store with fresh bouquets in the summer season.
