Claire Briguglio (she/her)

Claire joined Glynwood in September 2024 as Development Coordinator, supporting the development team through a diverse range of fundraising activities that foster the continued growth of Glynwood’s programs and initiatives. Using compassionate engagement to connect constituents with Glynwood’s core strategies, Claire helps the organization achieve its long-term strategic goals.

With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Claire has supported the development efforts of the Horticultural Society of New York and the Garden Conservancy, working on mission-driven programs dedicated to the health of both people and the planet. Prior to joining Glynwood, she worked at One Nature, an ecological consulting and landscaping firm and native, edible, and medicinal plant nursery.

Raised in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, Claire spent long summer days seeding, weeding, harvesting, and learning how to farm on a family friend’s land. Studying art and environmental studies at Macalester College, Claire appreciates the symbiosis between art and nature and the healing benefits of plants that can be found right outside our doorsteps. These experiences eventually led her to the homestead of Helen and Scott Nearing, pioneers of the back-to-the-land movement, where she spent a season as a resident steward on the coast of Downeast Maine.

When she’s not working with the development team, Claire and her family try to spend as much time outdoors, or, when the weather doesn’t cooperate, baking delicious treats indoors.
