Steve and his spouse Kim Throm live in the Hudson Valley. They were drawn to the Hudson Valley in 2011 because of an interest in being closer to the land and the food they eat.

Steve and Kim run Little Black Dog Farm where they grow vegetables, make cider and raise grass fed cattle, Steve spent nearly 30 years in the financial services industry and currently runs Interior Lines Advisory, a consulting firm focused on helping Ag and Food Tech start-ups navigate the transitional moment reshaping global agriculture. In addition to his work with start-ups, Steve is a member of the Advisory Board for the Masters of Science in Financial Economics program at Columbia Business School.

Steve holds a BA in Economics and Honors studies from Villanova University and a Masters in Economics from Indiana University.
