Glynwood Farm's
heritage stretches back to the 1700s. Its centerpiece is an immense
barn: a 16,000-square-foot, post-and-beam wonder that is over 150
years old. It once housed cows that supplied milk for the West Point
Military Academy, across the Hudson River.
As agriculture has become a key programmatic
focus, th connections between our programs and our farm have become
more important.
Today we
recognize the farm as an ecological unit, a place where we
constantly strive to better use our resources, where we intertwine
the various enterprises in ways consistent with biological systems,
which in turn create a more productive operation
